Briefing: In 2022, on the dry bottom of the Aral Sea, "green covers" of saxovol and other desert plants were established on an area of 107,000 hectares.

According to the legislation established in our country, improving the ecological situation, reducing the negative impact of sand, salt and dust particles rising from the dry bottom of the Aral Sea and the Aral Bay region, establishing "green covers" from desert plants in these areas. all measures are being implemented in order to consistently continue their work and further mitigate the negative effects of global climate change.

In particular, in 2022, 107,000 hectares of "green cover" of saxovol and other desert plants were established. A total of 590.3 tons, of which 391 tons of seeds of desert plants were collected by local residents, 100 hectares of saxovol and other desert plants were established as nurseries, and 635 workers, 250 units of high-performance tractors and 2 units of small aviation (AN-2) were involved.

In addition, these established "green covers" are constantly monitored by field scientists, and good results are being achieved in terms of the greening of desert plants.

This year, protective forests of "green covers" will be established on an area of 100,000 hectares. A total of 420 tons of seeds of desert plants such as saksovuly, sugarcane, blackberry will be collected to build these "green covers" and fill in the gaps. On the 100-hectare area, nurseries of saxophone and other desert plants will be established. Necessary amount of equipment and mechanisms, specialists and workers, as well as voluntary population will be involved for implementation of forest reclamation activities.

On the basis of the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers dated January 20, 2023 No. 25-F, the financing of the construction of "green pavements" was determined this year. According to this Decree, a total of 25 billion will be allocated for the establishment of "green coatings" in 2023 on the dry bottom of the Aral Sea. soum funds are required.
